These three are payment for a set of markers I got from my former school - super cool of them to let me pay with drawings!
Speaking of drawings - I'm able to train my hand a bit now (!!!) which is lovely, I've missed drawing, more than anyone can imagine. Drawing with my left hand just isn't the same :( 

Last week I got my light-table back. It's been at my parents place since I moved out over 2 years ago, and boy did I miss it!!
I ended up making 7 different profiles, and here you see four of them - sketch, colour test, and two of the three finished linearts. I even made two of one of them, so I have something to put in my portfolio.

In late January, KUNSTEN opened up for a new exhibition, Marc Quinn: "All of Nature Flows Through Us", and I knew I just had to see it. Though, time went fast, and in the end, I thought I didn't get to go; but lo and behold! Yesterday, a friend took me there.

His humongous oil paintings are breathtaking. At first sight, they appear to be photographs, but a closer look shows them to be actual paintings - and his sculptures had me a bit frightened, especially A Moment of Clarity, which seems just a bit too real.

If you're near Aalborg before the 29th of April, it's worth a trip to KUNSTEN. Or, well, always is a good time to go to KUNSTEN.

self portrait

Last week we [in school] were assigned to draw a self portrait, while looking in a mirror.
This too is done all with my left hand - the inflammation is getting worse lately, and I will call the orthopedic tomorrow..

I've never tried this kind of self portrait, but I will be doing it a lot more; it's fun and a good exercise.

left handed art dump

I've had a few complaints that I don't update my blog that often anymore - so here you have a small update!
First of all, the inflammation isn't gone yet, and it's been three months. Hopefully, it'll be fully functioning again in 2 months time or so.
This is also the reason I don't update that much, I'm frankly not able to do much, haha... It's getting frustrating and I've lost the patience, but this is how it is.

BUT, I'm getting better and better at drawing with my left hand!
Here's some of the drawings I've made,

And I made a "re-design" of the book cover for Stephen Kings "CELL" (PULS is the Danish title), with a ballpoint-pen and a marker,

Last, but not least, we've made dreamboards in school, but I might have taken too much artistic liberty with it, instead of just plastering it with stereotypic "dreams",

My teacher didn't think I took the project seriously and asked "if my future would have a big black background?", so I had to re-do some things.
I didn't want to ruin it completely, though, especially when there was a meaning behind the background. Well, I'll be able to defend my ideas and thought Thursday!

It's always in a situation like this, when your tools have been taken away from you, that you have the biggest need for them.
For the past 1½ month I've had tenosynovitis - which means I haven't been able to draw, craft or anything that requires the use of my right hand.
It's frustrating, and some days I feel so angry I could just scream.
But nothing is so bad it is not good for something,
I've learned to write nicely with my left hand, and I'm starting to get the grasp of using it to draw too.

So now that I can't do much, I spend a lot of time with jigsaws, games and TV series!
The past week have been dedicated to these lovely games,

These are done in school, for my production - the things I make will be sold, hopefully. These are going to be framed in two quadratic frames with black backgrounds.

I want to post about this years Kløften Festival, but I'll have to wait, seeing as my sister is keeping the good images hostage, while she's at Roskile! So, have some sketches instead;



My dad had prepared eggs for when I came home for Kløften, so that I could have sun-eggs ♥ I love sun-eggs, they're so delicious.

I will go now, and watch Hellboy; the Golden Army, and fangirl over Prince Nuada.

I've never tried drawing~music~exercises before, but we did one yesterday in school. Boy, can I say I loved that! We were listening to 10 pieces of music, we had to stand up when listening to some of them, and we only had 4 pieces of oil pastels - the time for every drawing, was the length of the song. I'll definitely use it more to get some feelings out + it's quite fun. These are a few of the ones I did;

I really like our classroom; it's big, has a lot of nice books and materials, aaand, we have some way too cool things, like these zebras!

This Saturday, Karneval was held here in Aalborg. I went to watch the parade with Sascha, Kenny and Mads.
I wore my Pikachu kigurumi, though I didn't get a picture of it :I But I wore the make-up as pictured above - and look! My fringe is different. I went to the hairdresser Friday. They were having a discount, so I got my hair cut for very cheap; it was really needed, I haven't been at the hairdresser for more than 7 months. So now it's all healthy-looking again ♥

I've gotten a few ArtCards ready, something I'm planning to make a lot of. They're the size of trading cards, a fun format to work with! Sometime, hopefully soon, I'll be putting some for sale, starting taking ArtCard commissions and doing art trades. I hope somebody will be interested, haha ♥

I've been working on this since yesterday - it started off as a little doodle, not showing someone particular, but slowly turned into something. I finished it during school today.
